The artist Charles Sucsan was born in Paris in 1932 to Hungarian parents. He studied in Paris and Montreal. Ceramist, sculptor, and painter, he is known for his large scale public murals, and also produced decorative objects in ceramics throughout the 1960s and 70s. A lamp is included in the collection of the Musée du Haut-Richelieu in Quebec.
