Henri-Jean Guillaume Martin (Toulouse, August 5, 1860 - Cahors, November 12, 1943) was a renowned French late Impressionist painter. He began his career in 1877 at the Toulouse School of the Fine Arts, under the tutelage of Jules Garipuy and later Eugène Delacroix. He exhibited at the Paris Salon and won a gold medal for his 1899 submission to the Salon. At the 1900 World Fair, he was awarded the Grand Prize. He moved from Paris to the more remote Marquayrol, near Cahors, and completed many of his best works there.
