A French Limestone Table attributed to Jean-Charles Moreux

Circa 1940

H: 27.5"  W: 78.75"  D: 27.5"  

The rectangular top with a molded edge supported on two stepped pedestals joined by an H- shape stretcher.

Jean-Charles Moreux (1889 - 1956) French architect and furniture designer who designed the Jardins des Gobelins and several galleries in the Louvre.  Works by Moreux are included in the collection of the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris.
